Fall 2008

Dear Client,

It is no surprise that in Michigan’s current economic climate, businesses have had to make adjustments to keep quality high and prices down.

Our clinic began making adjustments following Electrolux’s announcement of their closing our Greenville plant almost 4 years ago now. We have done many things to reduce our costs by streamlining inventory, managing our fixed costs, and flexible scheduling.

At the same time we have extended our hours and upgraded our laboratory capability without incurring additional cost in order to maintain the high quality medicine that you have come to expect from us.

Even with these efforts, the increased energy costs for operations, deliveries, and the costs of inventory have continued to rise. In addition to this, our pharmaceuticals, vendors, and banks have tightened up their credit policies (mostly a backlash from the lending crisis you all know about).

We have changed our credit policy as a result. Please read the following changes to our policy. We trust that you will help us maintain the excellent care we provide for a reasonable cost by honoring this policy. Please consider CareCredit as an alternative by contacting one of our receptionists or visiting www.carecredit.com.

We thank you for your attention and cooperation in this regard. We enjoy veterinary medicine and providing excellent care for your four legged friends. In order to maintain the care we provide, we must ask for payment at the time services are rendered.

Thank you for allowing us to be your veterinary care providers.

1) We expect payment at the time services are provided and patients are sent home.
2) We accept cash, credit card, check, insurance, and CareCredit as payment options.

This policy took effect January 1, 2009. We thank you for the opportunity to serve you. We appreciate your understanding and your help in our efforts to provide excellent care at reasonable costs.

Sincerely,

Peter K. Blinkilde, DVM
