HOW OLD IS YOUR DOG? We are frequently asked how old in “people years” a dog is. Many people believe that 1 year of a dog’s life is equivalent to seven human years. In fact it is much more variable than that and is different for different weight categories of dogs. It is true that small breeds of dogs, in general, live longer than their larger counterparts.
